Kristen & Latif { 9.06.09 }
Next up – a gorgeous wedding from September! Kristen and Latif had the most perfect September wedding on the lawn of the William Aiken House with a seated dinner upstairs in the ballroom and balcony and then an all-out par-tay under a tent on the back grounds complete with band, lounging sofas and what fun – a photo-booth! Kristen, an amazing do-it-yourselfer, handmade so many of her details from her paperwork to her needlepoint cocktail napkins. I loved the blend of cultures within this wedding with Kristen’s elegant classic gown and hennaed hands and feet! It was truly an amazing event thrown together by none other than the amazingly talented Luke Wilson of Fleur!
p.s. you might remember Kristen and Latif’s e-session from a few pages back. Check out the way they displayed their custom wrapped canvas in the bed of moss and seating cards. Loved that!

p.s.
yes, that oh-so-handsome groom has an identically handsome twin brother… swoon…
And here is my little escapade in the Shutterbooth! Check them out at www.shutterbooth.com

What Kristen had to say:
“Just wanted to tell you the pictures are fabulous! I’ve had so much fun looking at them all!”
Debbie + Clay e-session
Ahhhh… this time of year is always so refreshing! I love being able to get back out on the beach for shoots! Especially with a couple as lovely as this! This time I met up with September bride and groom, Debbie and Clay. We had such a great time shooting till after dark on Sullivan’s Island. Some of my favorite shots were with a giant frieghter cruising up the channel in the background! Keep an eye out this fall for Debbie and Clay’s Pawley’s Island wedding! I can’t wait!

Just heard this from Debbie:
Kristen + Latif e-session
Do you ever see a couple and think “Oh my, those are going to be some GORGEOUS children!” Kristen and Latif are that couple! I loved shooting their engagement photos this past Monday! Poor things, I kept them on that chilly beach till after dark (you’re a champ, Kristen!) We met up at Fort Moultrie on Sullivan’s Island – at first sight, it doesn’t look like a great spot for photos, but it’s truly a perfect backdrop! I loved the brick wall and grassy field right behind the fort, and of course, the beach. Here are just a few of my favorites!

Just heard this from Kristen:
“Heather, the pictures are AMAZING! I love, love, love them! I’ve been looking at them and found so many great ones — standing out in the cold was well worth it. We had such a great time with you and I’m so happy that you’ll be taking our wedding pictures.”
Laurin & Henry { 02.28.09 }
I had been looking forward to Laurin and Henry’s wedding ever since their engagement session (here), when we met up at the Daniel Island Fire House! This was the perfect wedding to kick off my Spring wedding season with a bang! The ceremony was held at the historic St. Luke’s Chapel with the reception at the ever so gorgeous, Hibernian Hall on Meeting Street. Oh, and check out the 20×24 canvas print from their e-session which greeted guests as they walked through the hall’s huge oak doors to the reception.

I just heard this back from Laurin:
Jane & David in Charleston Weddings!
I just got the latest issue of Charleston Weddings, which featured a 3 page spread of Jane and David’s spring wedding. Writer, Elie Somerville, wrote a great piece with lots of advise on planning a colorful, unique wedding. Oh, and I LOVE Peter Frank Edward’s amazing Beach Cottage Chic shots! Love that cover shot!
“SNAP TO IT: Photographer Heather Forsythe arrived at the reception early to capture vignettes of the florals, like groom David’s boutonniere and Jane’s bouquet. Want more than run-of-the-mill wedding portraits? Advise your photographer to follow Heather’s lead.”

Lauren & Sam E-Session
This was more like a pre-wedding session than an engagement session. I met Lauren and Sam the Thursday before their wedding. We had a great time running around downtown getting some fun shots! I really liked that they brought along their three dogs. What fun! Stay tuned for Lauren and Sam’s gorgeous Christmas wedding coming up!

Just heard this back from Lauren:
“YAYAYAYA, ALL SO EXCITING!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU! Do you sleep??!! Heather, they turned out fabulous I am so happy with them!!!! I am excited to start ordering some! Thank you!!”
Kathryn & Michael { 11.14.08 }
Another beautiful wedding at one of my favorite locations – Boone Hall Plantation’s Cotton Dock! The bride, Kathryn, along with event coordinator Marlene Hagar, of Marlene Hagar Events, created a beautiful rustic woodland wedding. I loved their greens and deep oranges against the Cotton Dock’s natural rustic walls and gorgeous setting! The girls were dressed and ready early enough so that were able to spend some time shooting on the grounds of the plantation. We had such a great time in the garden and under the alley of oaks! And I loved those flower girls!!!

I just heard this back from Kathryn:
“Heather~ Thank you so much for taking the most beautiful shots at our wedding. I can’t tell you how much we appreciate it. They look amazing.”
Peggy & Stephen { 11.01.08 }
Smiles, smiles, smiles. Peggy, the bride was ALL smiles, ALL day! But, how couldn’t she be. The day was lovely, the location was lovely, the dress, the flowers, the decor – all lovely! This sweet wedding, designed and executed by Luke with Fleur Events, went off without a hitch at the beautiful Governor Thomas Bennet House. Peggy, thanks again, for being such a fun bride!

Just heard this from Peggy:
“We love the pics! Many thanks!”
Laurin & Henry E-session
I met up with February bride and groom Laurin and Henry for a engagement shoot this week. I love this idea: Henry, who is a volunteer fire-fighter, wanted to start the shoot at the Daniel Island Fire House. We had so much fun! Unfortunately we couldn’t convince the guys to take the ladder out for us – we tried! We wound up by the river dock for some sweet lovely sunset shots!

Just heard this back from Laurin:
“Thanks so much for the awesome engagement session. I can’t wait to see the pictures. We both had a great time shooting with you and look forward to the wedding. Thanks again for making the experience memorable. “
Kat & Finis { 05.31.08 }
Whew! I’ve had such a hard time this last year turning down work for my maternity leave. I couldn’t resist taking this one last wedding – a delightful little wedding on the beach! So I thought I would leave you with a couple shots from this gorgeous little wedding and, oh, one of me in action for fun! (though you can’t quite make out the bump) I’ll see you in the fall!

Just heard this back from Kat:
“They were great, thanks!!!! Can’t wait to see the trash the dress photos!!! THANKS! It was so much fun!”
