A Few of my Favorite Things… vol. 1
Now that it is officially 2011 and 2010 is starting to really feel like “last year,” I’m feeling overwhelmingly appreciative of so many aspects of my last year. I worked with some of the sweetest families, some of the most beautiful brides, and some amazingly talented vendors! I’ve been so blessed to be a part of so many special events over the last 12 months, that I wish I could just post each and every shot I kept from 2010 with a detailed description of what I love about each moment! But, according to my 2010 hard-drive that would be some 54,290 photos (who knows how many were originally shot!), so I’ve opted for a mere 100 favorites. The selection is from just a handful of recent events, so I can’t necessarily say that these are my “favorite” images from my entire 2010, but I can tell you each and every one of them reminds me of something I absolutely love about my job and my life in 2010. So, here they are:

Featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs!
I’m so excited today to be featured on the amazing wedding blog, Elizabeth Anne Designs! After the vintage-traveled themed shoot with bride, Perry, I just had to share with Ami over at EAD! Perry and I had such a fun time planning for the shoot – for a month before the shoot we were emailing ideas and pics of suitcases, antique books and other oddities that started to fit just right into the idea we had for the shoot. The day went off without a hitch with close to 4 hours of shooting! Perry, you were a trooper and a big thank you to your very devoted, maid of honor!
Bridal Portrait – Jane
A little rain didn’t stop this bride for her bridal portrait. After going back and forth all week Jane and I decided to go ahead on her bridal portrait. As soon as we showed up on location on Daniel Island the rain started softly falling. Offering to reschedule and try again, Jane opted to work around the rain! We shot on a beautiful brick porch and then after the rain cleared up we strolled around the island shooting against its elegant natural backdrops. In the end, we both agreed the rich cool evening made for a great shoot!

Just heard this back from Jane:
“They are wonderful. I’m so thrilled with them. I love how natural many of them seem and I think that the crazy wind, the weather, and the awful bugs actually added to them. I’m so, so happy. I can’t wait to look at them again when I have more time to study them in detail.
THANK YOU!!!”
Susan – Bridal Portrait
I did a bridal portrait with soon to be bride, Susan. Susan’s wedding is October 27th so we met up a few weeks before hand for a relaxed downtown Charleston bridal portrait. We started at White Point Gardens, then moved around town before we ended up at The Meeting Street Inn’s beautiful second story verandah.

Just heard this back from Susan:
“Heather, thank you so much for these pictures. I am so impressed with your abilities!”
