In the Spotlight – Calder Clark Events

I’m so excited about being featured “in the spotlight” on Calder Clark’s amazing blog! I’m so lucky to be able to work with such an amazingly talented lady. A true design goddess, the events she creates are always one of a kind and Ahhhhmazing!  I love the way she can blend a little bit of fun, vintage whimsy with the truly classic and timeless. Her weddings are a brand all their own – they’re beautifully upscale and elegant affairs, but always with a fun and unique dash of the bride and groom’s personality. I’m always so excited to show up at her events and see what her magical midas touch will have created this time!

Lauren & Ken in Eco-Beautiful Weddings!

Have you seen the latest issue of Eco-Beautiful Weddings!? If not, this is one you have to check out! The pages are full of creative and beautiful ways to make your wedding distinct and earth friendly! I love it! When I photographed Lauren & Ken’s summer wedding on Folly Beach, I new I had to show this wedding to Katie over at Eco-Beautiful. Lauren & Ken were committed to having a laid back backyard affair with little environmental impact, just the way they live their day to day lives on their sailboat. Check out the latest issue here!

Lucy & Donald on 100 Layer Cake!

Well, I’m just pleased as punch today! Jillian over at the fabulous wed-blog, 100 Layer Cake, just featured Lucy & Donald’s sweet Tennessee Wedding! Lucy and I have been friends as long as I can remember and when Donald asked Lucy to marry him last year I immediately started day-dreaming the perfect “Lucy Wedding.” Over the next year, the two of us spent countless hours together planning, pinning, sewing, designing, printing, and plenty of moon-pie snacking! Not that I came even close to putting as many hours in as Lucy and her twin sister, Loralie, did planning this amazingly creative and lovingly home-spun backyard fete! The wedding and reception were held in the barnyard we played in growing up in Tennessee. This place has always held a special place in my  heart and now it does even more. Congratulations Lucy and Donald! I’ll always look back on June 20th as one of the best summer days of my life!

Kristen & Latif on Completely Unveiled!

If you stop by Weddings Unveiled’s blog today, you’ll find Kristen & Latif’s gorgeous fall wedding, which took place at Charleston’s beautiful William Aiken House. I just LOVED Kristen and Latif! Not only are they from my home-state, Tennessee, but they were just two of the most gorgeous people I’ve ever met – inside and out! Oh, and those sumptuous florals and perfect event planning is none other than the uber-talented Luke Wilson.

The Wedding Row feature!

Thanks Della for running such an amazing daily read!

Featured on Wedding’s Unveiled!

The gals over at Weddings Unveiled wedding blog, Completely Unveiled just put together an amazing feature about Debbie and Clay’s early fall nuptials. This was such a fabulous wedding, it was held on Pawley’s Island where Clay spent much of his childhood. The ceremony took place at a small historic chapel which was packed from wall to wall with friends and family. The wedding party then made their way by boat to a private residence where guests mingled under the lantern hung oaks and dancing under a chandeliered tent which was elegant, glamorous and whimsical all at the same time! Debbie, named after the southern sweet, Little Debbies, had a cupboard filled with the sweet-treats placed under an oak which guests passed on the way out. The sign on top read “Clay’s Second Favorite.”  After the cake cutting Debbie and her best friend snuck away where they changed Debbie into a shorter version of her gown which she came running back under the tent wearing!

Love this idea: Debbie wore her grandmother’s wedding ring pinned to her gown during the wedding.
